William Hill Betting Irish Lottery
All bookmakers featured on BetDailyMillion.com are large household names (Bet365, William Hill, Ladbrokes) that are fully regulated by the UK Gambling Commission. The next important concept to understand is that when you bet on the Daily Millions rather than buying a ticket you have to choose the number of balls you want to match prior to the draw. This is a total of 48 bets for your £1, compared to just 1 bet for your £1 on the Irish Lotto. The Irish Lottery can be played at many bookmakers including: Ladbrokes; Paddy Power; William Hill; Say you pick 3 numbers on the Irish Lotto and do the 6 number draw.

The Irish Lottery is one of a handful of draws that you can bet on with many different bookies. We’re going to show you exactly how to do it right here.
The best way to do so is to work through a real-world example step-by-step.
Note: there are sometimes different markets to choose from when betting on the Irish Lottery. This example is restricted only to the simplest and most popular ‘Straight’ market.
For our example, we’re going to be using William Hill to get our bet on. They’re not the only option, but the process of betting on the Irish Lottery with them is pretty similar to what you’ll have to do anywhere.

Step By Step – Bet On Irish Lottery For Real Money
At this point, we’re going to assume that you have a William Hill account. It doesn’t really matter for our example. You will, of course, need an account with whichever betting site you intend to bet with.
How Much Does William Hill Pay Out For Irish Lottery
Step One: Find Where To Bet
Head to the William Hill and log in to your account.
When you’re logged in and on the home page, you’ll see a main menu icon at the top left of the screen. It shows three horizontal lines. Tap it to open up the drop down menu. Then, tap the ‘A-Z Sports’ option.
That will display a full list of the betting categories available. Scroll all the way down to the bottom, where you’ll find ‘Lotteries’. Tap that option to see the different lotteries the bookie covers.
You’ll see Irish Lotto 6 ball and 7 ball as options. One includes the bonus ball and the other doesn’t. We’re going 7 ball for this example.
Tap the green ‘Bet’ button next to that option.

Step Two: Picking Your Numbers
The next screen you’ll see looks a bit like a bingo card. It’s mostly taken up by the numbers 1-47 all displayed in green circles. That’s because your next step is to pick the numbers you want to bet on. The ones you think will be part of the result of the next Irish Lottery draw.
You can select up to five numbers for each bet you wish to place.
Simply tap your chosen number or numbers to add them to your bet line. When you do, they will be greyed out in their original position and will physically roll onto your bet line toward the top of the screen.
Step Three: Choosing Your Stake
When you’ve finished picking your numbers, they’ll appear in a line across the top of the screen. Next to them will be a box into which you need to enter your chosen stake for the bet line.
Tap into the box and then type how much you want to bet.
You can choose to bet however much you wish. Remember all the while, though, that you’re betting on every number in your bet line being drawn. Matching a selection of the numbers is no good to you. It’s not like actually playing the lottery.
Step Four – Placing Your Bet
When you’ve finished building bet lines and picking your numbers (you can add more lines if you want in the same draw), scroll down toward the bottom of the page. Beneath the words ‘Lottery Ticket’, you’ll see a full summary of the bet you’re about to place.
Below the ‘Lottery Ticket’ summary, the bookie asks you ‘How Many Draws?’.
There’s then an option to select anywhere from 1-8. That means you can choose to apply your bet to anywhere up to the next eight drawings of the Irish Lottery. You would, of course, have to pay out your stake amount for each bet line AND for each draw if you choose to bet on more than one.
Once you’ve made that final decision, you’re ready to place your bet. All you need to do is to tap the large, green ‘Place Bet’ button. It appears below a ‘Total Stake’ figure which you should check lines up with what it is you think you’re spending.
How Does Irish Lottery Betting Work?
When you bet on the Irish Lottery with a bookmaker it’s NOT the same as actually taking playing in the draw.
William Hill Odds Irish Lottery
You’re not eligible to win the jackpot or any of the lottery’s other actual prizes. What you’re doing is placing a bet on what you think the result of the next lottery draw will be.
Each Irish Lottery draw sees six main numbers from between one and 47 drawn. When you place an Irish Lottery bet, you’re betting that all the numbers on your bet line will be amongst those six or seven (if you play with the bonus included) drawn.
A bet line with just one number is far more likely to be a winner than one with five.
William Hill Betting Irish Lottery Winners
The odds available for different bet lines reflect that, however. Take our example of a bet placed with William Hill. That bookie pays out at the following odds:
Balls | Odds | Odds Inc Bonus |
---|---|---|
One | 6/1 | 5/1 |
Two | 55/1 | 38/1 |
Three | 610/1 | 330/1 |
Four | 8,000/1 | 4,000/1 |
Five | 150,000/1 | 40,000/1 |
Pretty much every bookmaker works the same way when it comes to lottery betting. There are fixed odds payouts available for matching different numbers of numbers. The exact odds on offer are often clearly displayed on the same page as you need to visit to place your bet.
